Although Michelle has been fortunate enough to travel around the world, her childhood and the majority of her surgical training was spent in the Midwest. Michelle was raised in a small town in Wisconsin, about the size of Sandpoint. She is very excited to call Sandpoint her new home and become part of the health care community by providing care for the local residents and visitors.

Michelle is looking forward to all of the outdoor activities that this beautiful area has to offer. She moved here with her future husband, Dave, elderly great dane, and a new shepherd puppy. She also hopes to become involved in the community - particularly in the areas of adaptive sports and recreation for the disabled population, which is Dave’s expertise and educational background. Michelle and Dave would also like to get the sailboat that they towed from San Diego into the water at some point!
